The Half-Yearly Examination at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathalighat, commenced on 10th September and is scheduled to continue until 24th September. The examination began with the morning assembly, which was addressed by Fr. Babu Stephen. In his address, he wished all the students the very best of luck and encouraged them to approach the examination with confidence, sincerity, and dedication. The entire school community participated in the examination process. The duration of each examination was appropriately arranged according to the classes: students of Classes I to VIII were given two hours, while students of Classes IX to XII were given three hours. The examination routine was thoughtfully prepared, allowing a one-day gap after each examination so that students could adequately prepare for their next paper. A well-organised seating plan, prepared by Mr. Pradip Debnath and Mr. Ramkrishna, made the examination process smooth and conducive for both students and staff. Considerable care was also taken in the printing and systematic arrangement of question papers, which was efficiently managed by Mr. Jehova. Each day’s examination begins with a prayer in the respective classrooms, creating a calm and positive atmosphere before the students begin writing. Entry into the examination hall is strictly permitted only with a valid admit card, ensuring proper discipline and smooth administration. The preparation of a well-structured invigilation duty chart also greatly assisted the teachers in carrying out their responsibilities efficiently and monitoring the examination process effectively. The coordinated efforts of the staff contributed significantly to maintaining discipline, order, and a conducive environment throughout the examinations. Overall, the Half-Yearly Examination has been organised in a systematic, disciplined, and commendable manner. The careful planning, cooperation, and dedicated efforts of everyone involved have made the entire examination arrangement smooth and effective. Heartfelt thanks and appreciation to everyone who contributed their time, effort, and responsibility towards making the Half-Yearly Examination a well-organised and successful process.
