St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, celebrated Teacher’s Day with great joy, enthusiasm, gratitude and reverence on 5th September 2026. The colourful and solemn celebration was a fitting tribute to the dedicated teachers whose tireless service, commitment and guidance continue to shape the lives and futures of the students. The celebration commenced in a graceful and memorable manner as the teachers were ushered into the venue amidst warm applause and cheers from the students. Each teacher was lovingly welcomed by the students, who pinned a special badge on them as a mark of respect and appreciation. The entire programme was coordinated by the School Captain and his Council of Students, whose meticulous preparation and enthusiastic participation contributed greatly to the success of the celebration. The programme began with a prayer led by Breavia, invoking God’s blessings upon the teachers, students and the entire school community. This was followed by the welcome address and Teacher’s Day message by the Principal, Fr. Babu Stephen. In his message, he expressed his heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to all the teachers for their valuable contribution, dedicated service and selfless commitment to the education and holistic development of the students. He highlighted the noble vocation of teaching and encouraged the teachers to continue being inspiring mentors and role models to the young. Fr. K. K. Joseph also addressed the gathering and expressed his appreciation for the teachers and their significant role in building not merely successful students but responsible, compassionate and value-oriented human beings. The cultural programme added immense colour and vibrancy to the celebration. Vibrant and mesmerizing dances presented by students from Classes I to XII showcased a wonderful variety of talent, creativity and enthusiasm. The performances, representing different dance forms and styles, enthralled the audience and made the celebration truly grand and memorable. The two special dance performances by the young lady teachers were undoubtedly the highlights of the celebration. Their graceful, energetic and captivating performances stole the show and received thunderous applause from the audience. The teachers’ performances were so superb that they kept everyone spellbound and speechless, creating some of the most memorable moments of the day. Speaking on behalf of the teaching fraternity, Ms. Aparna expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the management and students for organizing such a meaningful and touching celebration. She thanked everyone for their affection, respect and thoughtful efforts in making Teacher’s Day a truly special occasion for the teachers. The teachers themselves added elegance and glamour to the celebration with their best and most beautiful attire. Dressed in their finest, the teachers looked exceptionally elegant and gorgeous, adding further colour and splendour to the occasion. As a special gesture of love and appreciation, Fr. Babu Stephen and Fr. Thomas presented Teacher’s Day gifts to all the teachers. The presentation of gifts was a touching expression of the school community’s gratitude for the teachers’ dedication and hard work. The entire programme was compered with remarkable confidence and skill by Master Kunal and Ms. Tina Rani. Their lively, graceful and well-coordinated anchoring maintained the flow of the programme and added charm and enthusiasm to the celebration. The grand celebration concluded on a warm and joyous note with a sumptuous lunch served to all the members of the staff. The shared meal provided a wonderful opportunity for the teachers and staff to relax, interact and celebrate their bond as one school family.
