St. Xavier’s School Welcomes New Sisters: Sr. Kyrkhulang and Sr. Yonairs Pathaliaghat, 10 August 2026: St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, accorded a warm and cordial welcome to Sr. Yonaris Lyngdoh FMA, and Sr. Kyrkhulang Sutnga FMA, as they joined the school community as new teachers. The welcome programme was held during the morning assembly on 10 August 2026, in the presence of the entire school community. The programme began with the formal introduction of the two new teachers by Fr. Babu Stephen, the Principal, who welcomed them on behalf of the management, teachers, and students. He expressed his joy at having the two Sisters join the school and wished them a fruitful and enriching ministry in the field of education. The students and teachers enthusiastically welcomed them with a huge round of applause, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere. As a gesture of love and appreciation, the Sisters were presented with bouquets of flowers, traditional Risa, and the school scarf by the teachers and students. These symbolic tokens represented the school community’s respect, affection, and willingness to support the new members as they begin their journey at St. Xavier’s. Sr. Yonaris Lyngdoh, FMA, and Sr. Kyrkhulang Sutnga, FMA, have joined the school in place of Sr. Monica FMA, and Sr. Martlin FMA, who have been transferred to Shillong and Garobadha respectively. The school community expressed its gratitude for the service and contribution of the outgoing Sisters and warmly welcomed the new members to continue the mission of education and formation at St. Xavier’s. Addressing the assembly, Sr. Kyrkhulang Sutnga FMA, thanked the Principal, teachers, and students for the warm and gracious welcome extended to them. She expressed her happiness at becoming part of the St. Xavier’s family and looked forward to working together with the school community. The welcome programme concluded on a joyful note, with the entire school community extending its best wishes to Sr. Yonaris and Sr. Kyrkhulang. Their presence is expected to enrich the school’s educational and formative mission and strengthen the spirit of collaboration, service, and unity at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat.
