St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat
Pathaliaghat, 5th August 2026: St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, organized an inspiring Poem Recitation Competition for the students of Classes I to IV on 5th August 2026. The event aimed at nurturing confidence, enhancing communication skills, and encouraging children to appreciate the beauty of poetry and language. A total of 65 students enthusiastically participated in the competition. The programme was efficiently coordinated by Ms. Moni Jamatia and Ms. Khum Kiyok Jamatia, whose meticulous planning ensured the smooth conduct of the event. The young participants confidently recited poems in different languages, displaying remarkable expression, pronunciation, voice modulation, and stage presence. It was truly heartening to witness the little children performing with confidence and enthusiasm, overcoming fear and anxiety while showcasing their talents before the audience. The competition was judged by Ms. Debika, Ms. Risha, and Ms. Gayatri, who appreciated the efforts, creativity, and confidence of all the participants. The judges evaluated the performances based on clarity of speech, pronunciation, expression, memorization, and overall presentation. At the conclusion of the competition, Fr. Babu Stephen, SDB, Principal of the school, congratulated all the participants for their wonderful performances. He expressed his appreciation to the coordinators, judges, and especially the class teachers for their dedicated guidance and encouragement in preparing the students. He also appreciated the parents for their support in nurturing the children's talents.
