SCHOOL BIDS FAREWELL TO SR. MONICA AND SR. MARTLIN 2026

Pathaliaghat, 5th August 2026: St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, organized a heartfelt farewell programme on 5th August 2026 to express its gratitude and appreciation to Sr. Monica Sangma, who rendered three years of dedicated service to the institution, and Sr. Martlin, who faithfully served the school for five years. The programme was a touching celebration of their selfless commitment, loving care, and invaluable contributions to the growth and well-being of the school community. The programme was gracefully compered by Ms. Maryeona and Ms. Athukiri, who conducted the proceedings with confidence and warmth. It commenced with a prayer led by Ridima, invoking God's abundant blessings upon the departing Sisters as they begin a new chapter in their religious mission. The gathering was warmly welcomed by Fr. Babu Stephen, SDB, Principal of the school, who also delivered an inspiring message. He expressed the heartfelt gratitude of the management, staff, students, and parents for the dedicated service rendered by Sr. Monica and Sr. Martlin. He acknowledged their unwavering commitment to education, discipline, pastoral care, and the overall development of the institution, assuring them of the prayers and best wishes of the entire St. Xavier's family. A vibrant dance performance by Sushma and team beautifully set the tone for the programme with its elegance and energy. This was followed by a touching farewell message from Sr. Monica Sangma, who fondly recalled her memorable years at St. Xavier's School. She thanked the management, teachers, students, support staff, and parents for the love, respect, cooperation, and affection she had received throughout her stay. The audience was once again enthralled by a captivating dance presented by Salomi and team, whose graceful performance left everyone spellbound. Sr. Martlin then addressed the gathering, expressing her heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful memories and meaningful experiences she had shared with the school community. She encouraged the students to remain committed to their studies, values, and faith while wishing the school continued success in all its endeavours. Adding further colour to the celebration, Athukiri and team presented a beautiful cultural dance that was highly appreciated by everyone present. Each cultural item reflected the immense talent of the students and added joy and warmth to the occasion, making the programme both grand and memorable. A heartfelt address by Hazel Debbarma deeply moved the audience as she expressed sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Sisters for their dedicated service, loving guidance, and motherly care towards the students and staff. The programme concluded with the presentation of gifts and heartfelt best wishes to the Sisters as tokens of love and appreciation. The farewell celebration was filled with gratitude, joy, and emotion, leaving behind cherished memories for everyone present.
