To strengthen the bond between parents and children while promoting creativity and cultural appreciation, St. Xavier's Hr. Sec. School, Pathaliaghat organized a unique Mehendi Design Competition for the students of Classes I and II on 11th July 2026 in the school hall. The competition was special because it actively involved both the students and their parents, making it a memorable and enjoyable event for everyone. The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from the parents, who lovingly applied beautiful and intricate mehendi designs on the hands of their children. The school hall was filled with excitement as parents displayed their artistic skills while the students proudly showcased the elegant designs. The event created a joyful atmosphere and highlighted the importance of parental involvement in school activities. The participants came well prepared, bringing all the necessary mehendi materials required for the competition. The class teachers efficiently monitored the event, ensuring that everything was conducted in an orderly and smooth manner. Their guidance and support helped make the programme well-organized and enjoyable for all. The designs were evaluated by Ms. Jaba and Ms. Aparna, who served as the judges for the competition. They appreciated the creativity, neatness, originality, and fine workmanship displayed in the various designs. Selecting the winners was a challenging task due to the impressive artistic talents exhibited by the participants. The competition received overwhelming appreciation from both parents and students. Parents expressed their happiness and gratitude for being given an opportunity to participate in a meaningful school activity alongside their children. Such programmes not only encourage creativity but also strengthen the partnership between the school and families in the holistic development of children. At the conclusion of the programme, Fr. Babu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the parents, students, teachers, and the judges for their enthusiastic participation, wholehearted cooperation, and valuable support in making the event a grand success.
