FACE PAINTING AND HAIR STYLE COMPETITION 2026

St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, successfully organized the Inter-House Face Painting Competition for Boys and the Inter-House Hair Style Competition for Girls on 8th July 2026 in the school Assembly Hall. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all the four houses—Bosco, Gandhi, Nehru, and Teresa. Each house was represented by five teams in both the boys' and girls' categories, making the competitions vibrant and highly competitive. The competitions commenced at 10:00 a.m., with participants displaying remarkable creativity, patience, and artistic excellence. They worked diligently for over two hours and successfully completed their creations by 12:30 p.m. The Face Painting Competition for boys showcased exceptional imagination and artistic talent. The participants transformed their partners' faces into stunning works of art through intricate designs, attractive colour combinations, precise brushwork, and excellent finishing touches. Their creativity and attention to detail impressed everyone present. The Hair Style Competition for girls was equally captivating. The participants displayed outstanding hairstyling skills by creating elegant and innovative hairstyles adorned with flowers, decorative hairpins, ribbons, and other accessories. Each hairstyle reflected originality, beauty, and meticulous craftsmanship, making every presentation unique and eye-catching. After the completion of the competitions, all the participants proudly displayed their artistic creations in the Assembly Hall, providing the entire student community with an opportunity to appreciate their creativity and talent. The exhibition attracted much admiration from students and staff alike. The competitions were evaluated by a distinguished panel of judges. The Girls' Hair Style Competition was judged by Ms. Martha Debbarma, Ms. Basuki Reang, and Ms. Hamari Debbarma, while the Boys' Face Painting Competition was judged by Mr. Dinesh Debbarma, Mr. Swapan Debbarma, and Mr. Chiranjit Tripura. The judges assessed the participants on creativity, originality, precision, presentation, colour combination, finishing, and overall artistic appeal. The results of the competitions were as follows: Face Painting Competition (Boys) First Prize: Handsome and Kamalesh – Teresa House Second Prize: Helson and Biplab – Gandhi House Third Prize: Suham and Troy – Nehru House Hair Style Competition (Girls) First Prize: Mimi and Suhana – Teresa House Second Prize: Khunjati and Sourabhee – Nehru House Third Prize: Tanu and Neha – Bosco House The competitions were a grand success, providing students with a wonderful platform to showcase their artistic abilities, creativity, teamwork, and aesthetic sense. The enthusiasm of the participants and the appreciation from the audience made the event memorable and enjoyable for everyone. At the conclusion of the programme, the Principal expressed heartfelt appreciation to the House Captains for their excellent coordination, congratulated all the participants for their creativity and sportsmanship, and thanked the judges for their valuable time and impartial evaluation. The winners were honoured with cash prizes, medals, and certificates in recognition of their outstanding performances. The Inter-House Face Painting and Hair Style Competitions once again highlighted the rich artistic talents of the students of St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School and reinforced the school's commitment to promoting creativity and holistic development among its learners.
