St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat
The inauguration of the New Academic Session 2026–27 of St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat was held on 13th April 2026 at 9:30 a.m. in the school assembly hall with great enthusiasm and joy. The programme marked the formal beginning of another promising academic year filled with hope, learning, and growth. The inaugural ceremony began with a short and warm introduction by Br. Savio, who welcomed the gathering and highlighted the importance of beginning the new session with dedication and positivity. This was followed by a meaningful prayer service led by Sr. Monica, invoking God’s blessings upon the students, teachers, parents, and the entire school community. A solemn and graceful lighting of the lamp was carried out by Fr. Babu, Fr. K.K. Joseph, Ms. Malina, Ms. Salomi, Mr. Kunal, Mr. Samir and Sr. Martlin, symbolizing the light of knowledge, wisdom, and truth. This sacred moment set the tone for the entire function. Fr. Babu then delivered the welcome address, expressing heartfelt gratitude to all the parents and well-wishers for their continued trust and confidence in the school management. He encouraged everyone to work together for the holistic development of the students. A beautiful musical performance by Br. Savio, Sr. Martlin, Sr. Monica, and Mr. Clinton added colour, joy, and vibrancy to the celebration, making the atmosphere lively and festive. Addressing the gathering, Fr. K.K. Joseph inspired the students and staff to begin the academic year with renewed zeal, discipline, and determination. He exhorted everyone to make the best use of the opportunities provided and strive for excellence in all spheres of life. During the programme, Fr. Babu also announced the names of the class teachers for the new academic session. The programme concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all who contributed to the successful organization of the inaugural ceremony. The inauguration was truly a memorable and grace-filled occasion, setting a positive and energetic beginning for the Academic Session 2026–27.
