St. Xavier's Higher Secondary School Pathaliaghat
The staff of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat organized a joyful and refreshing picnic to Dumbur on 3rd March 2026. A total of 35 staff members along with the Principal enthusiastically participated in this much-awaited outing. The picnic commenced at 7:30 a.m. from the school campus as the staff set out by bus, filled with excitement and cheerful spirits. The journey itself was lively with songs, conversations, and shared laughter that strengthened the bond among colleagues. On the way, the group halted at Amarpur for about an hour. There, everyone enjoyed a delicious home-prepared breakfast consisting of chana, bread, boiled eggs, and tea. The simple yet hearty meal added warmth and energy to continue the journey. The team resumed the trip and reached Dumbur Lake at around 11:30 a.m. Upon arrival, the staff refreshed themselves with coconut water, ice creams, and other cool drinks, enjoying the pleasant surroundings and calm atmosphere. Soon after, the group boarded two boats and proceeded to the beautiful Narikhel Island, known for its charming homestay houses and scenic parks. The serene backwaters and the natural beauty of the island created a perfect setting for relaxation. The staff members spent quality time exploring the uniqueness of the island, admiring the magnificent waterscape, clicking photographs, chatting freely, and enjoying the peaceful ambiance. Some members tried their hand at fishing, while others engaged in preparing their favorite snacks, adding to the joyful spirit of togetherness. A wholesome and sumptuous lunch was arranged at one of the island resorts, where everyone relished the delicious meal in a delightful setting. After lunch, the group visited the Narikhel Island Park, walked across the suspension bridge, and explored the magnificent surroundings. The park visit was filled with more photography, casual games, laughter, and meaningful interactions that strengthened the camaraderie among the staff. At 4:30 p.m., the group began their return journey to Pathaliaghat, carrying with them beautiful memories of the day. They safely reached the school campus at 7:30 p.m., concluding a truly refreshing and memorable picnic. The staff picnic to Dumbur was not only a day of relaxation but also an opportunity to foster unity, friendship, and team spirit among the members of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat. It was indeed a day well spent in the lap of nature.
