The much-awaited Sports Day for Classes I to VI was held with great enthusiasm and vibrancy from 24th to 27th February 2026 at St. Xavier's Hr. Sec. School Pathaliaghat. The four-day event transformed the school grounds into a lively arena filled with energy, cheers, and sporting spirit. The students participated under three categories — Sub-Junior, Junior, and Inter — and displayed immense enthusiasm and joy throughout the competitions. Every child was given the opportunity to take part in at least three events, ensuring maximum participation and inclusiveness. The teachers meticulously organized and conducted the events in a very fair and systematic manner, encouraging sportsmanship and teamwork among the students. A wide variety of fun-filled and competitive events were conducted, including the 100 meters race, three-legged race, frog race, sack race, bursting the balloon, spoon and marble race, cock fight, and many more. These sports activities were carefully planned not only for recreation but also to boost the sporting skills, physical fitness, confidence, and coordination of the students. All participants competed according to their respective houses — Bosco, Gandhi, Nehru, and Teresa — adding a healthy competitive spirit to the celebration. The cheering from teammates and teachers created an electrifying atmosphere on the field, making the event truly memorable for everyone involved. At the conclusion of the sports meet, the Principal expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the teachers for their dedication, careful planning, and active involvement in ensuring the success of the programme. He also appreciated the students for their spirited participation and discipline. The Sports Day for Classes I–VI was indeed wonderful and lively, fostering unity, sportsmanship, and joyful learning among the young Xaverians.
