SCHOOL BIDS FAREWELL TO MS. RATNA, CL. X & XII

St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat organized a farewell programme for the outgoing Class X and XII students and for Ms. Ratna Choudhury Paul, teacher, on 7th February 2026. The programme was marked by gratitude, emotions, and joyful memories, making it a truly meaningful occasion for the entire school community. The programme began with the ushering in of the outgoing students into the hall amidst thunderous applause, setting a warm and celebratory tone. Fr. Babu Stephen, the Principal, delivered the words of welcome and paid rich tribute to Ms. Ratna Choudhury Paul, highlighting her 29 years of dedicated and selfless service to the school. He gratefully acknowledged her invaluable contribution not only to the institution but also to the Pathaliaghat village, appreciating her commitment, sincerity, and loving presence among students and staff. The programme became deeply emotional with messages from two teachers, two outgoing students, and Fr. K. K. Joseph, all of whom shared heartfelt words of gratitude, appreciation, and good wishes. A short farewell speech by Ms. Ratna deeply touched the hearts of everyone present, bringing tears to many eyes as she reminisced about her long journey with the school and expressed her love for the students and staff. The cultural segment added colour and vibrancy to the occasion. Beautiful dances, melodious songs, and speeches by students made the programme grand and memorable. A special item presented by Br. Savio was highly appreciated and received warm applause from the gathering. As a gesture of love and gratitude, the outgoing students presented the school with two water coolers as precious gifts. In return, the school presented each outgoing student with a memento as a remembrance of their association with St. Xavier’s. The programme concluded with a sumptuous lunch arranged by the school for all outgoing students and teachers. The school extends heartfelt thanks to Ms. Martha, Ms. Priyanka, Mr. Sukhen, and Mr. Chiranjit for coordinating the programme efficiently, and to all the staff members who lovingly prepared the lunch. The farewell programme was indeed a wonderful, emotional, and tearful occasion, leaving behind lasting memories in the hearts of students, teachers, and all who were part of it.
