The Teacher’s Day Celebration at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat, was held on 6th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and joy. The programme began with the teachers being escorted by the students from the staff room to the venue amidst thunderous claps and cheers, creating an atmosphere of festivity and respect. The celebration commenced with a prayer service and words of welcome by the senior students, which set a solemn yet joyful tone for the day. At the very outset, Fr. Babu Stephen, the Principal, delivered a heartfelt message, extending warm wishes to the teachers. He expressed his deep gratitude for their dedicated service, hard work, and commitment in shaping the lives of the young. The students then presented a variety of colourful and vibrant dances, soulful songs, and musical performances, which captivated the audience. A special message by Fr. K.K. Joseph further enriched the occasion, as he acknowledged and appreciated the invaluable contribution of the teachers to the school and society. The felicitation of teachers by Fr. Babu and Fr. K.K. Joseph added grace, beauty, and gaiety to the programme. One of the highlights of the day was a special dance performance by the lady teachers, which stole the show and mesmerized everyone present. On behalf of all the teachers, Mr. Haripada expressed his gratitude to the school management and students for organizing such a thoughtful and memorable celebration. The event also featured group songs and cultural dances, which added variety and vibrancy to the programme. Towards the end, Bro. Purnajoy proposed the vote of thanks, appreciating everyone’s efforts in making the day a success. The teachers were presented with gifts as tokens of love and gratitude, which brought smiles and joy to all.
