31ST ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION
The 31st Annual Day of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat was celebrated with great joy, splendour and enthusiasm on 17th December 2025 in the school hall. The occasion was graced by Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, IAS, the District Magistrate of Sepahijala District, as the Chief Guest. The presence of fathers, sisters and brothers from neighbouring communities added joy, warmth and colour to the celebration. The invitation being open to all, a huge crowd of parents, well-wishers and guests turned up, making the event truly memorable. The beautifully decorated school hall and campus reflected the festive spirit of Christmas and created a joyful and welcoming atmosphere. The decorations captivated the parents and guests and set a perfect backdrop for the grand celebration. The programme began with an invocation prayer by Fr. K. K. Joseph, the Rector, who invoked God’s abundant blessings upon everyone present. This was followed by the Words of Welcome by Fr. Babu Stephen, the Principal, who warmly welcomed the Chief Guest, dignitaries, parents and all those gathered for the celebration. The Prayer Dance by the convent girls beautifully set the tone for the Annual Day celebration. The cultural programme that followed was vibrant, colourful and enthralling. The students showcased their immense talents through a wide variety of performances, including energetic and graceful dances, musical band performances, a meaningful skit on “Save Trees and Save Earth” by the Pre-Primary students, the Puppet Dance, Fan Dance, Nigerian Bamboo Dance, Hindi and Tripuri traditional dances, Fashion Show, Umbrella Dance, Hand Tutting Dance, Dandiya Dance, Garhwali Dance, Mamita Dance, and a special dance by the hostel boys. Each performance was well-choreographed, and the costumes were superb, adding charm and elegance to every item. The students put up a spectacular show that stole the hearts of everyone present. Their breathtaking performances mesmerized the audience and reflected their hard work, discipline and creativity. The excellent sound and light system, along with the effective use of the LED screen, further enhanced the beauty and impact of the performances. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, IAS, appreciated the magnificent campus of the school and praised the students for showcasing their talents in a highly professional manner. He congratulated the management, staff and students for organizing such a grand and meaningful celebration. The school hall remained packed with parents and invited guests throughout the programme, and the atmosphere was filled with joy, applause and appreciation. Ms. Priyanka proposed the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, parents, staff, students and all those who contributed to the success of the programme. The 31st Annual Day celebration of St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat was a grand success. Everyone enjoyed every moment of the programme.
