ORIENTATION FOR CLASS IX-XII

An enriching and lively Orientation Programme was organized for the students of Classes IX to XII at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Pathaliaghat on 10th and 11th July 2025. The programme was aimed at motivating and preparing students for their academic journey and personal growth, equipping them with values, life skills, and strategies to face challenges confidently. The sessions were animated by two dynamic and experienced resource persons from Don Bosco Institute (DBI), Guwahati – Fr. Cletus SDB, and Mr. Ravi. The orientation began with a warm welcome address by Fr. K.K. Joseph, who set the tone for the day by emphasizing the importance of self-awareness, discipline, and purpose-driven education. The resource persons were given a hearty welcome by the staff and students prior to the start of the session. A total of 280 students from Classes IX and X enthusiastically participated in the programme. The sessions were a fine blend of songs, dances, party games, group discussions, interactive inputs, and motivational talks. Fr. Cletus and Mr. Ravi created a joyful and engaging environment that enabled students to open up, interact, and reflect meaningfully on important life themes. The second day of orientation was conducted for students of Classes XI and XII. A total of 231 students attended the sessions. The programme commenced with a welcome address by Fr. Babu Stephen, who acknowledged the presence of the resource persons and the senior students. The sessions focused on a variety of themes relevant to senior students, including preparation for board exams, time management, building resilience, emotional well-being, and goal setting. A creative mix of video clippings, inspirational songs, energizers, dances, and team activities kept the students deeply involved and inspired throughout the day. The entire orientation programme was characterized by a dynamic and participatory approach, which made learning joyful and impactful. Students expressed their heartfelt gratitude and shared how meaningful and enjoyable the sessions were. We extend our sincere thanks to Fr. Cletus, and Mr. Ravi for animating our students over the two days with their rich insights, motivational presence, and interactive style. The orientation helped students reflect on their goals, boost their confidence, and understand how to face academic and personal challenges with positivity and determination.
